Donate · Exempt under Section 80G

Every tool we build is free.
You are the reason it can be.

Karky Research Foundation runs on donations, not on advertising or fees. We ask for one gift, and we tell you plainly what it pays for: the labs, the research, the dictionary, and the Tamil skill programmes we give away free of cost.

Where your gift goes

We pool every gift, and spend it on six things.

There are no separate funds and no earmarking. One general donation, applied where the need is greatest, reported honestly.

01

Keep the labs free for everyone

Servers, APIs and bandwidth for every tool in the Labs, so a student anywhere in the country can open the dictionary without paying a rupee and without seeing a single advertisement.

02

Research and build advanced Tamil tools

Our linguists and engineers turn open questions in language computing into working instruments: analysers, generators and models that simply did not exist for Tamil before we built them.

03

Grow the dictionary, word by word

Adding ancient and modern words, their definitions, their shades of meaning and real examples of use, so a million-word Tamil dictionary keeps pace with the language people actually speak and write.

04

Develop skill-development curricula

Curricula for reading, writing, listening and speaking: researched by our team, written, tested in real classrooms, and released for any school or teacher to use.

05

Run skill programmes free of cost

Workshops, teacher training and language sessions delivered without a fee, wherever a school, a college or a community asks for them.

06

Offer a free Tamil literacy foundation course

A beginner's course for anyone who cannot yet read or write Tamil, at any age, offered free, in their own time and at their own pace.

Nobody should have to pay to learn their own language. Every gift on this page exists to keep that sentence true.

Questions donors ask

Small print, plainly written.

Can I choose what my donation is used for?

We deliberately collect one general donation rather than separate earmarked funds. Your gift joins the pool that pays for the six things listed above, and the trustees apply it where the need is greatest that year. It keeps our accounting simple and honest, and it means no gift sits idle waiting for a cause to fill up.

Is my donation tax-exempt?

Yes. Donations by Indian taxpayers are exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Our 80G approval (URN AACTK1527E25CH02, order dated 29/12/2025) is valid and issued by the Income Tax Department. You will receive a receipt for your claim.

How do I get my 80G receipt?

Add your PAN and address in the payment window, and we will email the receipt and certificate details to you. Both fields are optional, so if you skip them, or if you would rather not share your PAN online, write to inbox@karky.in with your name, PAN, amount and date and we will send the receipt then.

How do monthly and yearly gifts work?

Razorpay sets up a standing instruction on your UPI, card or bank account and collects the same amount on the same date each month or year. You can stop it whenever you like, using the link in the confirmation email Razorpay sends you, or by writing to inbox@karky.in. We will never change the amount without asking you first.

Can I donate from outside India?

Yes, by bank transfer to our FCRA-designated SBI account listed above, with the account number, IFSC and SWIFT code all published there. Please write to us as well, so we can acknowledge your gift and meet FCRA reporting requirements. Card and UPI giving on this page is for Indian donors.

Can my company contribute under CSR?

Yes. KaReFo holds CSR registration CSR00044377 from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Write to inbox@karky.in and we will design a CSR engagement with proper reporting.

How do I know the money is well spent?

We publish our registrations openly: PAN AACTK1527E, Trust Reg 303/2013, 12AB AACTK1527E25CH01, 80G AACTK1527E25CH02, FCRA 075901457, GSTN 33AACTK1527E1Z4, Darpan TN/2017/0177972. Every tool the money pays for is public and free to use at karky.in/karefo/labs, so you can see the work for yourself.
