A language designed to be the easiest in the world to learn — and to belong to everyone.
kiLiki is a language and script invented by Dr. Madhan Karky for the blockbuster Baahubali 1 & 2, where its songs were written entirely in kiLiki. It has grown since into a small, joyful language that anyone can pick up.
Where natural languages accumulate exceptions over centuries, Kiliki was designed for simplicity from the very first letter. The result is a phonetic system with a compact alphabet, a clean geometric script, and only a handful of grammar rules — light enough to learn quickly, expressive enough to sing.
Every letter is exactly one sound, and every sound has exactly one letter. There is nothing silent and nothing to second-guess.
A small set of vowels, consonants and clicks covers the sounds you need — easy to memorise, quick to read.
The letters and numerals are built from clean shapes — circles, lines and stars — so they are simple to write and recognise.
Just a few consistent rules hold sentences together, with no irregular forms to trip over.
Kiliki belongs to no single nation or mother tongue, which is what lets it move so freely between speakers.
Through songs, games and stories, Kiliki is meant to be enjoyed as much as studied.
kiLiki is guided by the creative minds behind Baahubali and brought to life by a dedicated team at the Karky Research Foundation.

Kiliki is developed and nurtured by Dr. Madhan Karky and the Karky Research Foundation, alongside their wider work on language, learning and Tamil computing. The foundation builds tools and experiences that make languages easier to learn and more fun to use.
